Privacy Policy — Kanbee

Last updated: 2026-07-01

Kanbee is an Atlassian Forge app for Jira Cloud that displays Work in Progress (WIP) analytics for your projects. This policy describes what data Kanbee accesses, stores, and how it is handled.

What data Kanbee accesses

Kanbee runs entirely within Atlassian's infrastructure (Forge) and acts on behalf of the user viewing the dashboard (asUser context) — it never sees more than that user is already permitted to see in Jira.

To build WIP analytics, Kanbee reads from your Jira project:

Kanbee does not request access to user profile data, email addresses, or account identities. The app's permission scopes are limited to read:jira-work (project/issue data) and storage:app (Kanbee's own cache).

What data Kanbee stores

Kanbee uses Forge Storage — a data store provided and hosted by Atlassian, physically located in your product's configured data residency region — to cache:

Issue titles are customer content set by your team — if a title happens to contain a person's name, that text is cached for at most 1 hour as part of this feature. Kanbee does not extract, store, or process names, emails, or any other personal identifiers on their own.

What Kanbee does not do

Data retention & deletion
